Heidi Baletic studied Screenwriting at Academy of Drama Arts, Belgrade and King's College & RADA, London. She wrote for Fox Kids, Radio Television of Serbia, Treci Kanal, TV Politika and took part in the BBC's "Casualty" Shadow Scheme, writing a shadow episode for the series. She was selected for Berlinale Talent Campus 2011 as a scriptwriter, and Guiding Lights Filmmakers Scheme supported by Skillset and UK Film Council where she was mentored by Nick Hornby. Her work includes a script for a feature film "Take a Deep Breath" directed by Dragan Marinkovic (Best Foreign Language Film award at WorldFest Houston International Film Festival 2005), adapting and directing "Hi-Fi", a play by Goran Stefanovski at CZKD theatre, Belgrade, and writing "The Timetable of Andreas Sam" (based on Danilo Kis's novels), staged at Yugoslav Drama Theatre. Her original play "Dead Man's Coat" was staged in London and Belgrade and was produced as a TV drama for Radio Television of Serbia. Her novel "Take Me to Another Place" was published to critical acclaim by Stubovi Kulture. Heidi lives and works in London.
